Keerthana Kesavarapu, DO
Co-director of the Center for Metabolic Health and Weight Management
Dr. Kesavarapu completed her Gastroenterology and Hepatology training at Temple University as well as a fellowship in Obesity with the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She is a board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Kesavarapu’s primary clinical and research interests lie in defining the relationship between gastroenterology, nutrition and obesity.
Kunal Shah, MD
Co-director of the Center for Metabolic Health and Weight Management
Dr. Shah completed his Endocrinology training at Temple University with extensive training in weight management. He spends most of his clinical time helping treat patients living with obesity and diabetes. He serves as core teaching faculty for RWJMS endocrine fellowship program.
Steven Brant, MD
Professor of Medicine, Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Dr. Brant is a gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with a focus in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. In addition, he has an interest in creating an accessible multi-disciplinary practice including endoscopic weight management techniques. He along with Dr. Buettner serve a pivotal role in the creation of the Metabolic Health and Weight Management Center.
Christoph Buettner, MD
Professor of Medicine, Chief of Endocrinology and Vice Chair for Basic Research
Dr. Buettner is an endocrinologist with a longstanding interest in obesity and diabetes. His lab studies the regulation of metabolism through the central nervous system with a focus on liver and adipose tissue as targets of CNS control of metabolism. He along with Dr. Brant serve a pivotal role in the creation of the Metabolic Health and Weight Management Center.
