The Division of Nephrology is involved in research in many aspects of kidney disease and treatment. Our fellows and attending physicians present every year at the national scientific meetings of the National Kidney Foundation or the American Society of Nephrology. We are currently co-investigators in NIH funded multicenter studies of the role of the APOL1 gene in the transplantation of African Americans, Drug-Disease Interactions in the Elderly and COVID-19 and the kidney.
